Our family started Freggies. We live in Burien, Washington and we have tried all sorts of various produce services in the past. The biggest complaint we have is that we could not pick what we wanted in our weekly box. So, we built an on-line application and invited some friends to begin using it. Since then, we have grown Freggies into a well known name and source for fresh, raw, organic produce in the Greater Seattle area. 1. What should I do?
Become a Freggies Franchise Owner! It is great fun, helps you build relationships within your community and enables you to lead and create income while enjoying the benefits of being at home with your family!
2. What is a Franchise Partner?
A Franchise Partner is a local business owner who shares the coolness of Freggies with their neighbors, friends and community. The responsibility of the Franchise Partner includes:
- Building a group of customers who regularly order from Freggies
- Work with our logistics team to get the produce delivered. Note: New regions may require more involvement with logistics from the Franchise Partner
- Answering questions about Freggies
- Share recipes or other healthful resources
3. What is the process for delivering the produce?
We take care of all the logistics including web site maintenance, ordering, compiling orders and vendor coordination. Our logistics locations receive or pick-up the produce in bulk, sort the produce based on the pull sheets that are printed off the Freggies system, label the box and delivery based on the customer delivery instructions.
4. How do you make money?
We apply a mark-up to all the produce that is ordered. We make sure this mark up is at or below the competitive pricing for the region at retail locations.
5. How much does it cost to start?
Here are the expenses that you should plan for when joining Freggies as a Franchise Partner:
- Initial franchise fee: $25,000
- Integration, training & launch coaching: included
- Travel to training (1 week): $0 - $1,500
- Initial collateral package: $1,000
- Vehicle Signage package: $750 - $2,500
- Business license & insurance: $500 - $1,500
- Computer & software: $0 - $1,000
- Other costs: $5,000 - $10,000
Note: Some or all of these fees may be financed. Fees for logistics such as vehicles in new regions has not been considered in this overview.
6. Why are we doing this?
We are a young family and we realize that in our culture we need to create various streams of income to survive. We also know that you already know a bunch of people that will use the Freggies service and this will help get the revenue flowing for you. We know we have the best produce available and the most advanced on-line system to manage the orders! We also want to make it as easy as possible (easier than the drive thru) for others to eat health and enjoy Garden of Eden food! When your kids try the organic red peppers, they will be hooked like candy!
