About Me:
This has been a passion of mine from a young age. I started working when I was 15 years old as a tile-man’s helper, mixing cements, grouts and learning all the materials and tools used in this field. At 18, I became a tile-man. I ventured into bathroom remodeling, followed by kitchens and basements. I always tried to learn new things about the home improvement and handyman business.
I owned my own business at 22 with one of my first clients being an owner of a large number of residential buildings. He hired me to fix whatever needed to be fixed. I leaned towards handyman work because people always found a difficult time finding someone to do the small jobs.
At age 25, I was hired as a project manager for a large construction company, which gave me the opportunity to learn other perspectives of this business. In 1997, I was hired in a large residential complex to complete both indoor and outdoor jobs. The challenging tasks of this job helped polish my handyman skills even more.
When I started out, my father drilled into me the importance of respecting people’s property and being neat, clean, polite and courteous, a few of the most important parts of working in someone’s home. I never forgot this and its second nature to me now.
Over the years, it was a goal of mine to perfect my skills so I can improve, be dependable and trustworthy, in order to work in clients’ homes. Making people happy, and seeing them smile while looking at the job I just finished is very gratifying to me. I continuously get overwhelmed with gratitude when someone says, “thanks, you did a great job”.
I enjoy doing all types of home improvement, especially installing ceramic tiles and working with wood moldings. Now, with Yellow VAN Handyman, I am able to use my experience over the years to help people with whatever they need fixed or built in their homes. When I am hired, you get a very experienced, hard-working family man, who will do everything in his power not to let you down.
